Have your say on Victoria’s Catchment Management framework

In late 2014, the Victorian Auditor General released a report which identified a number of issues restricting the effectiveness of Catchment Management Authorities. Since then, the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning and Victoria’s 10 Catchment Management Authorities (CMA’s) have been working together to address the issues. This work has included drafting the ‘Our Catchments, Our Communities’ strategy.

Community consultation

‘Our Catchments, Our Communities’ provides an overview of Victoria’s catchment management framework and identifies priority actions to improve its effectiveness.

Consultation on the draft strategy is now being undertaken across Victoria until 30 November 2015 and feedback can be provided by completing an online survey.

We encourage all of our partners and stakeholders to provide their views on this important strategy and help establish priority actions for integrated catchment management over the next four years (2016-19).
