Community

The Mallee CMA area of responsibility has a regional population estimated to be 65,000. Almost 40 percent (26,000) live in the Mildura urban area, while about 35 percent live in rural areas and the remaining 15 percent live in the larger rural centres of Birchip, Sea Lake, Ouyen, Robinvale, Red Cliffs and Merbein.

Natural Assets

The Mallee Catchment Management Authority is a community-driven and accountable organisation. • the engagement of new stakeholders
  • the engagement of local government
  • the encouragement of environmental education and training
  • a continual improvement in the ability of people and organisations within the region to manage our natural resources.
