The Board

The Board is responsible for the development of strategic direction for integrated management of land and water resources in the region and ultimately for all functions undertaken by the Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA), including governance and reporting to the Minister.

Implementation Committees

There are two implementation committees--the Mallee Lands Implementation Committee and the Mallee Irrigation and Environment Implementation Committee. The implementation committees are responsible for community input and engagement in CMA initiatives, as well as oversight of the implementation of the Mallee Regional Catchment Strategy (RCS) from the community's perspective.

Technical Reference Committees

Technical reference committees for the asset classes of Biodiversity, River and Wetland Health, Water Resources and Land Resources, as identified in the Mallee RCS, are important for the provision of technical input into the development and implementation of projects and programs.

Technical Reference Sub-committees and Project Steering Committees

Sub-committes of the technical reference committees are responsible for specialist technical input into specific project delivery.

Board sub-committees are responsible for specific functions as directed by the Board.
