Would you like to learn more about weed control?

The Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA), in partnership with regional Landcare groups, is holding a series of workshops about weeds. The workshops will focus on Wheel Cactus, Prickly Pear, Flaxleaf Fleabane and Silverleaf Nightshade.

Dr Hanwen Wu and Ian Grenda will be presenting at the workshops.

Dr Hanwen Wu is a senior weeds research scientist with the Weed Research Group of the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries, based in Wagga Wagga.

Ian Grenda is a member of the Tarrangower Cactus Control Group Inc, based in Maldon, Victoria. The group consists of Landcare and other volunteers dedicated to the eradication of Wheel Cactus.

Monday 17 March
Mildura – Northern Mallee Christian Centre (old Sailing Club opposite Dyar Avenue, Cabarita) 5pm to 9pm
Tuesday 18 March
Walpeup - Mallee Research Station 10am to 2pm Woomelang – Woomelang Memorial Hall 5pm to 9pm
Wednesday 19 March
Nyah – Nyah West & District Senior Citizens Centre 5pm to 9pm
