Project proposals invited for Mallee Drought Employment Program

The Mallee Drought Employment Program (DEP) is being managed by the Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA) as part of the Victorian Government’s drought response package. Similar programs are also being offered by Wimmera and North Central CMAs to support farmers and agricultural workers and agribusinesses directly affected by ongoing dry conditions.

The Mallee DEP will seek to support project activities on public land by providing paid labour to undertake a range of agency and community group supported projects. Projects delivering public benefits will be highly considered. Groups and agencies partnering with the Mallee CMA on the Drought Employment Program will be required to provide materials, as only labour costs are covered by the program.

Project proposal forms can be lodged on-line by clicking here.

Agencies and community groups wanting more information or to discuss project ideas can contact Glen Sutherland at the Mallee CMA on 5051 4308.
